Portrait Assignment

I plan to take a photo of  someone with a nice smile or pretty eyes so that something on their face just stands out. I'll keep it simple doing a close up in a plain background possibly outside with the natural light and using the cropping method. I want it to look like the background is blurrier than the person to make the person to stand out even more.

Short list Warm-Up

Landscape: I chose this one as my favorite because I like how its taken from the aspect of the ground and how it gets blurry as it goes farther, it's different.

Travel Shortlist: I chose this one because I liked how the orange from the monks robe stood out from the whole background, it's a peaceful photograph.

Fashion Shortlist:I chose this photo because I liked how her make-up went with the flower and leaves in the background. The green eye shadow made her eyes and the flower above her stand out.

Family and Friends Shortlist: I chose this one because I loved how the it was from the baby's perspective looking up on the adults and that it was also in black and white.

Portraits Shortlist: I chose this because it shows how the woman in the photograph wants to be portrayed and how it shows a different kind of beauty of woman rather than the natural, dainty woman.

Documentary Shortlist: I chose this photo because I liked how the kids enjoyed playing in the water and having fun despite where they may be living and how the black and white effect enhances the mood.

Gardens and plants shortlist: I chose this one because the color of the lavender flowers and the amount of them in the photo was appealing and gave life to the darkness of the back part of the photo. I like how the color of sky at that time of the day was caught on this photo.

Wildlife Shortlist: I chose this photo because I like how it was a close up of the mother monkey taking care of her child. Shows how animals are the same as humans when it comes to nature.

Creative License Shortlist: I chose this one because the sky looks awesome and it seems like a dream. I like how it shows the person walking up a building into the sky as if she's going to heaven and she's smaller because she's far away already.

Actions and movement shortlist: I chose this because I like how graceful the dancer looks while jumping above water and how she's a shadow and only the sunset stands out.

Casual Potrait

I chose these photos for casual portraits because they were the simplest to me that still looked great whether they're in color or black and white. It didn't need any props or extra stuff to look appealing.

Photography Self Portraits

I chose these photos because I thought they were the most artsy looking. The photo in which a camera is also used in it shows the personality of the person being photographed and could potentially be his hobby or his career as a photographer. The other photo shows a model in a dark ambient with her piercing eyes catching all of the attention in the photograph.

Environmental Portrait

I chose these photos of environmental portraits because it showed what these people like doing or what potentially could be their hobbies. It's a good way to take a self portrait using props to make them more interesting about the person in the portrait and shows a little bit more about themselves.
