This is a good example of rule of thirds because there is different objects that are the focus and if you were to place the imaginary borders that divide the photograph into thirds you will see that the girl is on the right side of one of the border lines and shes not directly in the middle of the photograph. This makes the impact of the photograph more interesting and may help you relate to the woman's reaction.
